What You Say in English! - A podcast by Frank Carrizo Zirit

In today's episode, I try to take a deeper look into what people think fluency is, and I question what our conception is for that term. From the get-go, I can say that it's a very tricky term to define and I also believe that it shouldn't be considered as a goal in language proficiency. I open the debate as to what other aspects of English language learning are truly important, in my opinion, and what really counts when it comes to communication. The two articles I mention in this episode are: * What does it mean to be fluent? - to the English language teacher [https://www.etprofessional.com/what-does-it-mean-to-be-fluent-to-the-english-language-teacher]- by Chia Suan Chong, and * Native English speakers are the world's worst communicators [https://www.bbc.com/worklife/article/20161028-native-english-speakers-are-the-worlds-worst-communicators] - by BBC.com I think you'll find in those articles some food for thought, and maybe help you change your mindset into a more achievable goal.
